WaveWare Pager 1.3 now available for iOS
The latest version of WaveWare Pager 1.3 is now available for iOS in the App Store.
Version 1.3 incorporates many bug fixes and stability improvements. The UI has been updated with brighter colors, bolder text, new priority indicators, and support for iOS built-in accessibility for large text as well as improved dark mode support.
If you already have WaveWare Pager installed on your iOS device, your app should be automatically updated when your device routinely checks for updates. You can force the update by opening the App Store, tap your User icon in the top right, then choose Update next to WaveWare Pager in your list of available app updates.

SPS-5 V9E - MD
The SPS-5 V9E - MD is rated at a 50% duty cycle when operated at 5-watts, and offers an even higher duty cycle rating when used at 2-watts.
The SPS-5 V9E - MD outperforms the standard V9E model while still being extremely cost-effective.
SPS-5 V9E - XL
Ideal for a paging site which experiences heavy traffic, the SPS-5 V9E - XL is the real workhorse of the SPS family.
Rated at a 100% duty cycle when operated at 5-watts, the XL uses a new cooling system to dissipate heat and extend the life of your transmitter.
SPS V9E - HP
Built for larger facilities with multiple floors or campuses with multiple buildings, the SPS V9E - HP provides greater capability and higher power than the average 5-watt transmitter.
The XL and the HP use new heavy duty radios which incorporate a built-in thermal protection circuit, and combined with our custom cooling solution, can be operated for extended periods without worry of overheating or failure.
This new all-in-one system replaces the need to have a separate amplifier, power supply, and set of cables, and still includes a 25’ cable, antenna, and antenna bracket, all at a lower cost compared to the older 25-watt amplifier kit.
Offering an 80% duty cycle when operated at 25-watts, the HP is the perfect solution for users looking for reliable coverage without having to use an additional amplifier.
Designed to keep cool under pressure
The number one reason paging transmitters fail is due to heat build-up. The radio module gets hot under heavy paging loads and, if not properly ventilated, can cause premature component failure.
The new modules used in our new transmitters incorporate a thermal-protection circuit to automatically shut down the radio before damage can occur. As soon as things cool down, the radio automatically restarts itself to resume transmitting.
Our standard model transmitters, the V9S and V9E, are highly efficient systems but are meant for smaller locations that don’t experience dramatic amounts of paging activity. Under extended loads, their modules can get hot and overheat, leading to downtime and, eventually, repairs.
If you’ve found that your paging needs are exceeding the capabilities of your transmitter, it’s probably time to upgrade to a new MD, XL, or HP system.
Added to the design is a fan test button, which allows the on-site tech to test the functionality of the fan and be sure it’s operating properly.

Announcing version 9.3 of Paging Encoder Setup v9
WaveWare is very pleased to announce the latest version of Paging Encoder Setup v9, version 9.3. This new release is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 8, 8.1 and 10 and features backwards compatibility support for older SPS 5 v8 paging systems.
The WaveWare Paging Encoder Setup Software allows you to configure and test your WaveWare paging system, as well as perform range testing.
An updated user manual is currently being written and will be released as soon as possible.

Interfacing with a WaveWare SNAP (Serial Network Alert Processor) system, the Pager app allows you to receive and acknowledge notices on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
